Information
- The students will be shown how to make each shape each day that handwriting is assigned.
- Students are to practice one shape each school day as assigned.
- Students are to produce at least 10 correct examples of the shape.
- Students turn in their work to be checked for proficiency.
- If the student’s work is proficient, the work will receive a ‘Passed’ grade.
- If the student’s work is not proficient, the student will be instructed in how to make the shape correctly and will be asked to practice some more and turn in the new work for review.
- Students may work ahead of schedule if they wish.
- Handwriting is graded in the ‘Passed’ or ‘Not Passed’ style.
- Passed = 10 or more shapes made correctly.
- Not Passed = Less than 10 shapes made correctly.
- The Handwriting grade will appear in the Takes Responsibility and Perseveres in Learning section of the Report Card.
Grading
Passed = All shapes should consistently be made correctly with a minimum of 10 shapes made.
Not Passed = Less than 10 shapes made or shapes are not consistently made correctly.
Not Passed = Less than 10 shapes made or shapes are not consistently made correctly.
